The Premier League Backs Rainbow Laces Campaign
Premier League clubs including the likes of Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, Chelsea FC, and Arsenal FC have all been backing Stonewalls Rainbow Laces campaign in support of gay rights.
Captains from the teams have been wearing rainbow coloured armbands while players have also been wearing rainbow coloured laces on their football boots.
Soccer Saturday hosts and pundits have also been showing their support by posing for photos holding a pair of boots featuring the rainbow laces.
Premier League teams up and down the country have also been tweeting their support of the Rainbow Laces campaign which aims to make sure sport is everyone’s game.

The campaign comes after charity Stonewall revealed their research has discovered that half of all sports fans have heard offensive remarks about lesbian, gay, bi and trans people in the last five years.
The FA also showed their support by lighting the Wembley Stadium’s arch in the colours of a rainbow.
At the moment there are no openly gay footballers currently playing in the league but with campaigns like this one showing that football is moving with the times it is only a matter of time before a current premier league star feels safe enough to be open and honest about his sexuality.
